Finally , while queer people are currently living with the trauma of anti gay conspiracies who’s foundation was set by the Langa’s of this world, It is only a matter of time these theories affect every Ugandan. Because of these theories, putting your trousers on “balance” was somehow gay. You will not put on your favorite shirt or dress because of these theories. You will not be able to attend that concert or festival because of these theories gay or not. These conspiracies are attention whores like the people who spread them and they will get the attention, whether you give it to them now or not.

Gay Student In Johannesburg South Africa Commits Suicide After Allegedly Being Humiliated By Teacher Because Of His Sexuality.

Speaking to EWN the Gauteng department of education said they have met with both the school and the family of the learner. Spokesperson Steve Mabona said a thorough investigation is now in full swing to find out what happened. “There are allegations which we are ready to continue to investigate as a department. We will make sure we investigate those allegations and report at a later stage on the outcome thereof.’’

Most At Risk Populations Initiative (MARPI) Annual General Meeting

Daisy Nakato, the National Coordinator UNESO, an umbrella network for sex workers said, “As sex worker living positively, MARPI gave me hope. I went to MARPI when I was depressed due to the stigma I was facing at other health facilities. I am now a mother to two healthy children something I did not think possible for someone of my status. I am not an isolated case; this is the tale of every sex worker who has ever come to MARPI.”

Queering The Ballot In Kenya

The four organizations in partnership launched the #QueeringTheBallot situation room on Friday, 5th August, 2022, whose major roles will be rapid response in terms of security issues, deal with any press conferences that may arise and an information sharing center. An online poll ran by INEND in June this year to find out if registered queer Kenyans were going to vote or not and what were the reasons. Most queer Kenyans stood by the grounds to not vote because they felt like as queer Kenyans the state couldn’t care less about their existence. Post the elections INEND and her partners intends to carry out another poll to assess the impact of the #QueeringTheBallot campaign and if more queer Kenyans changed their minds and participated in the elections.
