Children Of The Sun Foundation Uganda (COSF) will this Valentine’s day hold an intimate fireplace event dubbed “Valentine’s Day Ekyooto Muliro Dialogue”. According to the organization’s Executive Director Henry Mukiibi, the event is meant to bring LGBTQ Ugandans living under the shelter together to celebrate love.

“One of the components of the event is mental health care, we want to check in on each other, just to see how we are coping now that the economy has re-opened after two years of lockdown due to COVID-19.” Says Henry.

He adds that, “Another thing we want to address is how to cope with COVID-19 going forward and also how to counter gender based violence within the community. Most of our clients are here due to abuse by their significant others and we do not want them to be alone on such a day.”

Valentine’s Day Ekyooto Muliro Dialogue, is an invite only event.
