How Can We End LGBTQ Prejudice?

Royal Rays Initiative Uganda and Sexual Minorities Uganda are today set to hold a Twitter Space celebration with the theme “Breaking barriers and silence towards biphobia, transphobia and homophobia.” These acts of aggression towards the LGBTQ community have created great challenges and we need to come up to break all barriers through advocacy.

The space is being held in line with celebration of the International Day Against Homophobia Biphobia and Transphobia-IDAHOBIT. Marked on 17th May annually, the day is meant to bring to light inequalities against LGBTIQ people and find favorable solutions going forward.

Although about 30 years ago the World Health Organisation-WHO declassified homosexuality as a mental health disorder many countries including Uganda continue to discriminate against LGBTQ people.

Join the conversation today on Twitter spaces from 8:00pm-9:00pm as Pepe Julian Onziema and Alan Nsubuga from Sexual Minorities Uganda share with us how we can break barriers towards LGBTQ abuse among other interesting topics.
